Our Niche

Jasper Faolan’s Indie-Pen-DENT! Community will hold a very specific space in the cyber world.

Being an online organization allows us to provide a safe haven for female adolescents to express and experience genuine, hard core growth in its project Journal to Save Your Life.  For those who are ready, Journal to Save Your Life also provides writing prompts to build each young woman into a community organizer, thereby continuing our positive impact in the world.

Executive Director

By the executive director of Indie-Pen-DENT! Community, Jasper Faolan, having been an adolescent delinquent herself and living to tell the tale in a raw hummingbird, she gives her projects the legitimacy and emotional impact only a true story of personal triumph can generate.  Furthermore, the aesthetic ‘niche’ she will occupy is of the edgy, authentic, in-your-face, role model, attracting the types of teens that need to scream about their situations in order to start *feeling* again.  She will also maintain media that is calmer and more centered in order to connect with shy and/or depressed teenagers.

Writing and Expression

Since a raw hummingbird and Journal to Save Your Life both emphasize the profound power of expression through writing, these two projects will naturally attract those that appreciate writing/journaling/blogging as well as those that feel they might snap if they don’t express.  With Indie-Pen-DENT! Community’s mission to empower and heal women with its projects, authors such as Heather Corinna (S.E.X.: The All-You-Need-To-Know Progressive Sexuality Guide to Get You Through High School and College), prison poetry program organizer, Richard Gold[1], and media critic and nationally renowned professor, Jean Kilbourne, will actively be recruited to contribute inspirational prompts for our journaling exercises in exchange for publicity in these fundamentally positive and novel projects.
